Autopilot

Two decisions from you. The engine plans the rest.

Choose a market and how much one basket may lose. Autopilot sizes every position from your current equity, the market's volatility and your broker's limits, and says why whenever it waits.

In short

What is Jassrox Autopilot?

Autopilot is an MT5 trading bot that turns two choices, a market and a loss budget per basket, into a complete trading plan. The engine measures recent volatility, the spread, your equity and your broker's lot limits, then derives the lot size, grid step, price range, basket stop and weekend handling.

It is a grid engine with a derived plan, not a forecast: it stays small, stays flat when it cannot size safely, and writes the reason for every decision where you can read it.

What does Autopilot decide for you?

A plan is everything a grid bot would otherwise ask you to type in. Autopilot builds it from live data and keeps it with the bot, separate from your two settings.

Lot size

The loss budget is a percent of current equity. The lot is the largest the broker allows that keeps a worst-case basket, costs included, inside that budget.

Step and range

Six levels around the current price. The step is wide enough for recent volatility and several times the spread, so costs stay a small share of each move.

Entries per basket

Up to two entries per basket. When the budget covers the broker's minimum lot only once, the basket uses one entry instead.

Basket stop and target

Each basket has a stop and a target measured in steps. A broker-held stop sits one step further out as a backstop.

Weekend and market close

About 30 minutes before the weekend close, read from the broker's own session schedule, Autopilot closes its positions and opens nothing new.

Re-planning while flat

With no open lots, the plan is rebuilt when it is four hours old, when price leaves the range, or when equity has moved 30 % from the plan's basis.

Visible reasons

Why is my Autopilot not trading?

A hold is a rule that stops new entries for a reason the engine can name. Autopilot never waits silently: the current reason is on the bot page and every hold is written to the Decisions tab with the numbers it was decided on.

Holds

When does Autopilot hold new entries?

Holds only ever stop new entries. Exits keep running, so a hold never traps an open basket.

High-impact news

Autopilot always observes the economic-calendar blackout around high-impact events for its symbol.

Spread, margin and rollover

Entries wait while the spread is too wide, when the projected margin level would be unsafe, or around the broker's nightly rollover.

Shocks and one-way moves

A candle far larger than the plan assumed holds entries and marks the plan for re-sizing. Adding to a basket against a straight-line move is held.

Daily loss lock

After a basket stop the bot cools down for an hour. Once the day's realized losses reach three baskets' worth of budget, it opens nothing new until the next UTC day.

Any account size

How does Autopilot size trades on a small or large account?

Sizing is a continuous function of current equity, not a table of account sizes. A 1 % budget on a 100 USD account and on a 100,000 USD account produce plans with the same shape and different lots. Every change to Autopilot is tested on sample balances from 10 to 1,000,000 USD, on both cent and standard contracts, and is not tuned to any one account.

Records

What does Autopilot record?

The journal and the outcome ledger exist so you can check the engine's reasoning instead of trusting it.

The decision journal

Every entry, hold, wait, stop and close is a line with a plain-English reason and the readings behind it: volatility, spread, step, lot, budget and session. Closes the broker makes at a take-profit are journaled too.

The outcome ledger

Each finished basket is recorded with the market conditions it opened in and how it ended. It changes no trading; it is the evidence used to judge future improvements.

On top of Autopilot

Which account-level limits still apply?

Account risk settings sit above every bot. The first time you create an Autopilot bot, Jassrox switches on a 2 % daily loss limit, a 5 % weekly loss limit and a 10 % maximum drawdown from peak, unless you have already set your own. The live Autopilots of one account share a combined loss-budget cap, and the remaining daily or weekly allowance also caps each new plan. Details are on the risk management page.

How to start Autopilot

  1. 01

    Open a free demo

Register and connect the built-in demo account with 10,000 USD of virtual funds. Nothing real is at risk while you learn how Autopilot behaves.

  2. 02

    Pick a market

Create a bot, choose Autopilot and select the symbol it should trade, such as gold or a forex pair your account offers.

  3. 03

    Set the loss budget

Choose how much one basket may lose, as a percent of current equity: 0.5, 1 (the default), 2 or at most 4 percent.

  4. 04

    Start and read the journal

Start the bot. Autopilot calibrates, builds its plan and writes every entry, hold and close with its reason in the Decisions tab.

Plainly

What Autopilot does, and what it does not

It does

  • Sizes every basket so a worst case, costs included, fits the loss budget you set.
  • Re-derives its plan from the market and your current equity while it is flat.
  • Closes its positions before the weekend close on the broker's own schedule.
  • Shows the reason for every hold and decision on the bot page.

It does not

  • Predict the market or promise a return. Baskets do stop out, sometimes several in a row.
  • Oversize to reach the broker's minimum lot. It stays flat instead.
  • Change the plan under an open basket. Settings apply to the next plan.
  • Replace your judgement about whether automated trading suits you.

FAQ

Questions people ask

All questions

What is an Autopilot trading bot?

Autopilot is Jassrox's engine-managed MT5 bot. You choose a market and a loss budget per basket; the engine derives the lot size, grid step, price range, basket stop and target, weekend handling and re-planning from live volatility, spread, equity and your broker's lot limits.

Does Autopilot guarantee profit?

No. Autopilot is a grid engine with a derived plan, not a forecast. It can lose up to the loss budget on a basket, and it can do that more than once. Trading leveraged instruments can lose money, and automation does not change that.

What happens if my account is too small for the budget I chose?

Autopilot first tries a smaller basket: one entry instead of two. If the budget still does not cover the broker's minimum lot at the current volatility, it stays flat and tells you why, with the numbers, instead of oversizing.

Does Autopilot keep trades open over the weekend?

No. The plan closes Autopilot's positions about 30 minutes before the market's weekend close, read from the broker's own session schedule, and holds new entries in that window.

Can I change the loss budget while a basket is open?

Yes, but the open basket keeps the plan it was opened with. A plan is only re-derived while the bot is flat, so a new budget shows up in the next plan.

Which markets can Autopilot trade?

Any symbol your connected MT5 account offers that the engine can price and size, such as gold, forex pairs or indices. Availability and contract sizes depend on your broker.
