In short

What is the Liquidity Sweep strategy?

The Liquidity Sweep bot waits for price to dip briefly below a confirmed swing-low support on a volume spike and close back above it, then buys once live price trades back above that level.

On Jassrox, Liquidity Sweep runs server-side on your connected MetaTrader 5 account, so your computer can be off. Like every strategy on the platform, it can lose money; test it on the demo first.

Mechanics

How does Liquidity Sweep enter and exit?

The rules below are what the Liquidity Sweep engine does on every tick, in plain words.

Entry

How it enters

Using real one-minute candles from your broker, the bot finds the latest confirmed swing low. A sweep is a candle that pierces that support within the sweep tolerance, on volume above the volume multiplier, and closes back above it. Once live price trades back above the level, it buys.

Exit

How it exits

The position closes at the stop-loss or take-profit, set as a percentage or pips. It can also flatten before the weekend or a daily break.

Market conditions

When does Liquidity Sweep fit, and when does it struggle?

No strategy suits every market. These are the conditions its rules assume, and the ones that break them.

Tends to fit

  • Markets with clear support levels that attract stop orders
  • Brokers whose tick volume is a usable activity signal

Tends to struggle

  • Real breakdowns, where the pierce is the start of a fall
  • Feeds with unreliable or thin volume data

Configuration

Which settings matter most?

Each bot can start from an AI preset, a plain-English description or manual values. These are the settings to understand before you start.

Pivot windows
How many candles on each side confirm the swing low.
Sweep tolerance
How far below support, in percent, a pierce may go to still count as a sweep.
Volume multiplier
How much above recent volume the sweeping candle must be.
Stop-loss and take-profit
A fixed percent or pips.

Risk

What can go wrong with Liquidity Sweep?

Broker volume is feed-specific and signals can be rare. Check data quality and test with small exposure; unavailable on the built-in demo.

  • Broker volume is specific to each feed and can mislead.
  • Signals are rare, so a short test proves little.
  • It needs a live broker connection: the built-in demo has no real candles, so a demo bot cannot be created with it.

In the app

How the New Bot wizard describes it

Labelled "experimental" in the New Bot wizard and available on live accounts only: its signal is rare, so there is not yet enough data to judge it.

Account-wide risk limits (daily loss, weekly loss, drawdown from peak and symbol exposure) apply on top of the strategy's own exits.

FAQ

Questions about Liquidity Sweep

All questions

What is a liquidity sweep?

A quick move just past an obvious level, often below support, that triggers resting stop orders before price returns. Traders sometimes call it a stop hunt. The bot looks for the return above the level as its entry.

Why can I not use Liquidity Sweep on the demo?

It is built on real one-minute candles and broker volume from a live connection. The built-in demo has neither, so the bot could never generate a signal there, and creation is blocked.

Does a volume spike mean the sweep will work?

No. It is a filter, not a forecast, and tick volume differs between brokers. Test with small exposure and watch the bot's trades before trusting it.
